dmg will not be running the Pharmacy Expo in 2007 As you may be aware, the NZ Pharmacy Guild have advised that they will be running a conference at Sky City in Auckland in June 2007. Accordingly, the decision has been made not to run the Pharmacy Expo in 2007. We believe that it would not be in the best interests of the industry to divide exhibitors across two events. With dwindling visitor and exhibitor participation we are happy to step back and see if the Guild can put together a format that better serves all members of the Pharmacy industry. We welcome your feedback on how this change will affect your business. We do believe that with the addition of the seminar series in 2006, we were developing the show to add value to all visitors, however, following the 2006 show we received feedback that some exhibitors felt there were a few products that were out of place in a Pharmacy focused exhibition. In the changing climate of retail, we firmly believe that quality products that boost profit margins or give a point of difference are a valuable addition to any Pharmacy product range. We continue to believe that a ‘one-stop shop’ exhibition allowing visitors to network, compare products and pricing, negotiate terms, and choose from a wide variety of products would always be a better alternative to ongoing road-shows in local hotels. The NZ Gift Fairs are of course another wonderful option for you to either exhibit your products, or attend as a visitor to pick up new or existing brands for your stores.
